I have iphone 5, no sound on videos!!!
I get no sound on ipad2. Pretty much useless.
please have video about trompovsky and closed sicilian
Insightful.
Im so glad I found this app! Its great for learning the basics of a variety of openings. The videos are very well produced and the instruction is easy to follow. Its also an amazing value!
The videos are a great straightforward entry into various openings. A good starting point. The opening book is fairly easy to use. Nothing fancy but its only $2.
No sound- rendered useless. Other than that, before I found that problem, insightful. He brings us concepts that are key to understanding openings. Which, in the long run, is a nice push for intermediate or beginner players, who are starting to study opening theory, to begin reviewing opening ideas. But unfortunately, I have to rate this app 1 star. A lot of effort is put into these videos, but to show how much effort the developer put into these videos, we, the audience, have to be able to hear your lectures. I own an iPad 4 and previous comments have also been experiencing similar problems with previous listed Apple generations. I ask you, please fix this bug and I will immediately change my rating to its (the apps) rightful rating.
I am a relative beginner and this site is really helped me gain a grasp of opening theory and sequence. I cannot thank you guys enough for offering this wonderful resource.
This is an outstanding app!!!! Exactly what I hoped it would be. Great UI!! Definitely 5 stars, would give 10 stars if I could.
Please fix the audio on the videos!
I absolutely love this app though Im disappointed about a glitch. You get a ton of great strategic advice for less than the cost of a beer. The manner of presentation is great with a lot of camera angles, good lighting and an expressive teacher. If youve spent any time looking at chess tutorial videos youll know this isnt common. I find it is much easier to learn this way than the arduous process of reading from a book and setting up the positions on the board which, takes a lot of time. The disappointment is that the notes option is glitchy and I have had problems with the notes I tried to insert not saving. Great content for a great price though and I would love to see more content in the future.
This app offers sharp and informative videos, that demonstrate the strength and weaknesses of a wide variety of openings, variations, and counters, all with a nice sense of style. Well done!
I used to play chess a lot when I was younger, but havent played seriously in many years. I find this app very helpful to re learn what I forgot about openings, and to cement the knowledge I did not forget. I like the way Kelly explains things in an understandable manner. I would recommend this app to any chess player of any level
One of the few apps that I keep on my iphone home screen. Learning chess that way is great because you get a very large scope of any given opening, and videos are short enough you visualize them over and over.
Pros: Good videos. Standard statistics of opening positions once you begin moving pieces. Pretty UI. Cons: Cant flip board to view position from black!??Sometimes the pieces stick when you move them and you have to make multiple swipes to get the piece in position.
I saw most of the videos on YouTube and they were so helpful I wanted to support you financially. The book also helps with slow chess.
I spent my hard-earned money on a few Youtube videos with no sound. Dont make the same mistake I did.
This is outstanding for the price. If it was $20 I might have some complaints, but at this price theres nothing bad I can say about it. I hope they continue to add to the library in future updates.
Been a while since Ive played. This apps made getting back into the game much easier.
